Preston Tent orderly. Drill in the afternoon. Got paid 1 pound, 13s, 2d. Colin & I went to town took St. Car out to Rhodes Farm. Very large farm on the side of the mountain. Saw 3 lions, a leopard, 2 Jackals, 4 elands, 8 ostriches, 4 Kafis cranes, a goat and lots of other animals and ducks. Fine walks here and there through the grounds. Took a car back to town, had supper at Disc's restaurant, 1s, 9d. Very good. Waiter turned pale when we asked for pie. I guess she never heard of it before. Got home about 9:30 P.M.
