# 4 I.T.S. Edmonton,
Sun. evening.

Dear mom,

Well Mom it looks as if I can't get out of Edmonton. I'm now beginning my third stage in the Air Force. I found out last Wednesday that I was being posted but couldn't find out where. That's why I haven't written you lately and by the way I have only received one letter from you and none from Dad since I came back from leave. I tried to get to Saskatoon but missed it by just three men who were ahead of me alphabetically. We are posted that way. We came over this afternoon (it's just across the river) in a truck. 50 of us were posted here. It seems very nice what I have seen. It's in the University building. We sleep in the dormitories and it's practically like hotels. There are double and quadruple rooms. There are four in our room. Bill Ridley (I mentioned him when I was home. He was in my flight in training wing). Another one by the name of Mckinley who was also in the same flight, and the other one is a stranger.

There are only 500 men on the station so you see it's quite different from "m" depot. We have a very nice mess hall and women serve the meals to us. I have only been here six hours so that's about all I can tell you about it. I know we have to be up at 5:45 and be on parade at 7:15. We are rudely awakened by a bell ringing in our room.

Jim Clark took 3 pictures of me today so I'll send them to you a couple of letters from now. We have a bath tub besides showers here so I guess I'll have a bath to-night. I have a terrible cold so I believe I'll go on sick parade tomorrow.

Your loving son,
George
