Dear Flo,

It seems ages since I last wrote to you but really it is not so very long after all anyway c'est la guerre you know everything that goes wrong these days is the war isn't it

I don't know if I told you I had my photo taken a few days ago or not if so just cancel the order for they were absolutely rotten therefore I cannot possibly send any to any one I shall have another try so soon as the oppotunity presents itself again There I hope I shall have a little better luck and send you one but don't look forward to that for it is very hard to say when I shall have another chance you know but soon I hope.

Well how is Billikins these days has he got to enlist but I should hardly think so since he is employed in such important work his it is, and I don't suppose there is much chance of Fred E getting roped in is there and that is a pity for a year or so here would do him the world of good believe me, he perhaps needs it bad enough what do you think Eh?

Well dear here it is well into July why the summer will soon be gone then some more mud to contend with & that wont be up to much for we have had such nice weather this last two months that I hate to think of the mud again believe me.

Well is nothing in particular to write about so I guess Ill just sing off
