Dear Mother.
I received your letter and Marjie's yesterday and was glad to hear how you were. You'll be glad to know that I'm in peaceful surroundings again and things are going fine, and getting things easy now. I'm living on a farm just now, but I haven't the best bedroom this time, but sleep in the barn, which is OK. Better than a dugout. I think I wrote you that we joined the Batt at last, and came across a lot of the 226 boys again. My address is now 16th Batt Canadian Scottish BEF No. 3 Company g Platoon, and it's more my style than the last Outfit we were with. Well Mother, harvest is in full swing here, and even threshing; one horsepower treadmill. Some style, isn't it! Wouldn't go very fast out west, I'm thinking. Well Mother dear, I'll have to close now and hoping that the harvest is a success at home, love to all from your loving Son,
Frank.
