Letter

Dec. 2, 1941. Dear Mom- Started to write a card but decided to make it another letter. I was surprised to hear of all the gardening going on back there, something I never thought would happen in Victoria. Jim really must be in his glory now. After leaving how P[?] and he painted on their holidays it makes me more than ever sure I won't get married. Brenda is sure seeing the country. Jim Bedin hopes she will be able to visit his aunt while in Ottawa. I gave him message about Anderson. Norm Block move was surprised to hear about phone call. I rec'd swell textbook "Cartooning" from YMCA yesterday. [CENSORED]

Poor old [?] in Beacon Hill - I sure know how he feels. When I wrote last week I was feeling blue - hence the terse letter. Well, Mom, I'll sign off for now, love to both Jim & yourself. Solong, Syd.
