Dear Harry & Bill:

I guess by now you've started you're exams - I want to wish you every success - you should make it easily.

- and thanks for your good wishes for my exams, I start Monday June 22 & I should make it.

Saw the Air Cadets last nite on parade for Billy Bishop - it was quite a thrill to think there stood the man who had destroyed 80 German planes in the last war. The Cadets here have RCAF uniform, rifles, everything - & I understand, wont have to attend I.T.S - but go directly to E.F.T.S.

I am receiving wonderful food - all the milk I can drink, grape-fruit juice, etc. - the R.C.A.F. is ok.

I'd sure like to see you & Bill & everyone - but tell Mother I may not come home - the fare is 14.oo (RCAF pay 1/5 fare) - & I have it but I'm so darn low in cash I think I may stay & work for Massey Harris during my holidays. Anyway the cottage is rented until the 18th - Tell mother I'd like nothing better than to be at the Lake with her. Give my regards to Pat, & tell her that tho her passing is not of such concern it is none the less praiseworthy or something. Well [letter ends here]
