Dear Mom Nov. 17, 1941 Just another line from STALAG - VIIIB. To say that things are going along smoothly and to hope that everything is alright out there. I hope you are all in the best of health, including Mitzi. Is Brenda still working hard at the office? And is Jim still slugging at the lodge accounts? I am very eagerly looking forward to the first letter from you it should arrive any time now but I'm very impatient to hear from you and know everything is alright. I guess this is going to be the second Christmas I spend away from home. But we're making plans already to have something extra. If you are sending parcel socks, underwear, shirts, gloves, towels, sweaters, scarves, in fact anything in the clothes line would be appreciated. Also chocolate. Give my love to Agnes and Percy and regards to the gang. Cheer up, Mom, some day we'll see each other again. Love to Brenda and Jim and tons of love. Syd.
