Woke up at 1 AM to report to Bde for Battle Staff Officer. Took 28 men and followed the attacking force all day. Kick off at 4:20 AM. Very successful attack for us. We advanced about 8 miles today to Caixe. I worked on prisoners and wounded all day. Saw some terrible sights but was not in any real danger all day. Slept in German shack at Bde H Q.
