Dear Kiddo
I write these few lines hoping to find you all well, as it leaves me at present, I suppose you will be surprised to know that we have left England, and are now somewhere in Belgium, to do our bit, you need not worry on my account, as I am all right, I could tell you lots of news, but, of course you will understand, that we cannot put just what we like in our letters, suffice it to say, that we got here all right, and hope to return to Canada the same, and then I shall be able to tell you all about it, and I can assure you that it will be interesting, especially trying to talk to the people here and figuring out the money, but still we are getting on to it, the people are very inteligent and polite here, and they tell us lots of their diferent storys, some of them can speak English pretty good, just what they have picked up from the British soldiers, how are the kiddies getting on, I hope they are better, please write often, and let me know the news give my love to all, I must close my letter now as the mail is just about to go. so ta ta for the present from your Loving Husband Herbert
