LETTERS FROM MEN AT THE FRONT
Dr. Frederick sees queer life in the East
Dr. E. V. Frederick, formerly of Campbellford, in a post card remembrance from Alexandria, Egypt, to Dr. S.P. Ford, of Norwood, writes:
How little I thought a year ago I would be here now. Such a lot of life I might have missed. Imagine, for instance, yesterday I saw a man to take a pail to wash his hands and feet before saying his prayers at noon before us all, and the next minute another drinking out of the same pail. Or imagine a man milking a herd of goats in front of the King Edward Hotel.
