Dear Lilian:

We expect to leave about the 21st so this may be my last letter until we arrive at Bramshott. Shall write from the base if we stop there for a few days. I received yours of March 16th and one from home dated 24th.

I'm assistant adjutant just now and am getting lots of work. Several hundred. N.S. boys are joining us here from other units and it keeps me busy working on their papers. We shall be a pretty large battalion when we reach Hfx.

We are having spring weather with the odd rainy day. Today is showery, but last week was great.

My leave came through last week, but I didn't take it as we are leaving so soon and I maight have been held in England until the batt. came.

I had a letter from Aunt Emma about a week ago. Must write her.

We aren't doing much now in the way of parades, play baseball, football, etc. most of the time. At least the company does. Since I came to orderly room I've been busy all the time and could work half the night if I felt like it.

We should be away from England early in June so I think you needn't write after the middle of May.

Lovingly,

Reg.
