Dear Lillian:
Thanks for the box which has just arrived. Also received your card. Our post office hasn't been opened for a week or more which is my excuse if you haven't heard from me lately. This will probably be the last letter for a week or two for the same reason. I shal try to write or send a card anyway whenever possible.
We have had a good rest the last few days. We are billetted in a large town about five to a house. My billett is a small back room. It has a stove but no beds so the boys sleep on the floor. Charlie Scott and I have a room with a bed, and its great to have something better than the floor. Until we struck this place the best bed I had since I left the hospital was some chicken wire stretched on a frame.
I've written Aunt Bessie and I must send a note to Dad. Had a letter from Jean Gass yesterday and must try to answer it sometime.
Lovingly,
Reg.
