Dear Mom,

"Howdy" from my old "home"', Darlington. 1 was just given a 48 hour leave, so I hitch-hiked here for the weekend to see Joan again.

So far things are o. k., and all is well. There are not many R.C.A.F.ers around though. This afternoon I expect to see Nigel Temple in Middleton. I haven't seen him since I came back from the Continent.
