Dear Grandmother,

I'm spending an evening at the Station writing letters so here's one for you.

These past few evenings have all been spent at Camp, but since I'll be on a three day pass over the coming weekend, and then, since I'll be going on a leave on Feb.15th, I thought I'd better write a few letters before I get too busy to do them.

Lately we haven't been flying because the weather has been very poor, but I think we'll be starting again, now that it's getting better.

With the cold weather, though, we did get lots of skating at Durham, where the rink has artificia1 ice, but in many towns the lakes and park ponds were frozen over so that everywhere the children, especially, have been skating.

I receive letters from Elsie in New Zealand, and she talks about the warm weather there!

All the best for now. Love, Lewis.
