Saturday Apr 17 Lassiemouth Scotland CAN R14564 Sgt Macl - V.S R.C.A.F Overseas Headquarters Base Post office Canada Dear Mother Please use the above address for the next few letters. I had intended writing you a few days ago when the parcel come in but wrote to Howatt instead sending the letter to 66 Lyman Street. How is He? The contents were excellent. Before George Jett left (last Monday) we had consumed the contents of those four tins. If you have the chance to send a box again your own selection is excellent. Four packages of Gillette blades would be a pretty important item on the list. By the way Vivian sent a six pound (or more) box of Candy and I'm almost sure the postage was less than twenty cents. It would be worth writing to her right away for future use. My room mate now is Glen Leitch an observer in the 2nd class. Mrs Phillips' parcel also arrived. By the way How are the letters reaching you. There has been about one a week off to some of you for over a month now. I think in the last letter I mentioned the financial assignment. Let me know how the cheques are Coming. We had to-day off and about all I have done is a couple of letters and sleep. We think we will be through and leaving here soon. Then down to Edinburg for some of my leave for five days. It's a bit late and there is no further news. Thought it well to keep a letter on the [?] and also we will probably have a very busy week commensing tomorrow but will write by the end of the week again. Hope you are well. How is the snow disappearing Sheep and cattle live out during the winter around here, likely it is a general thing in Great Britain. It is still cool enough to wear the great coat. Let me know how Howatt is and the news soon again, as ever, Vincent
