SBRC Hospital 11. April 1917 Dear Lulu I am getting a chaplain to write to you not that I am not able to do it myself but partly because I have only the left hand to use & partly because of laziness I was slightly wounded on Easter Monday and am in all the luxury of a clean bed in a fine Base Hospital glad to be out of the whistling of the shells. The wound is slight but just big enough to send me to England Now if you could be there I would be fine but as things are I can only hope to be sent to a Base Hospital in England. I will write you myself at greater length in a day or two. Yours affectionately Tom
