Was driving lead for Whyte while we was breaking in his team on the wheel. We were hauling sand all day.

Was up to Milford Station after a couple of carts had a [?] mule team with Brown to McCucky as drivers I was centre driver today. But I am really a wheel driver.

Was Mess orderly today. There was no church but a route march in the morning got a letter from Smith. Ivan is missing.
