Dear Folks:

Just a line to enclose a card as I wrote a few days ago & we have been marking time here ever since having an A1 time. Lots of eat & little work.

We were inspected by General Currie the other day & he gave us quite a speech of appreciation of our work up the line the time we went over the top.

Both parcels arrived OK - the smaller one coming about ten minutes ago. The candy was great believe me it had lots of nuts & that's what tickles my palate.

Haven't heard from Fred yet and I hear his B'n was in the scrap so I have been worrying a little. I will probably have a chance to look him up before long.

Nuf for now -- if we ever get settled I'll give you a novel to read.

Love to everybody

Bill

P.S. By the way I fell heir to a trip this week. Chief also - in fact quite a few of our old B'n. So you can prefix the old title if you want to WJM
