Dear Sir –

I wish to thank you very much for the very generous Christmas parcel which I received from Humewood School on the 9th of January.

Since it is now ten years since I last attended the school, I am even more highly pleased, that I should remembered.

Possibly the ladies concerned, will be pleased to know that the sweater I received in last year’s parcel came in on D-Day, has had its shrapnel holes attended to, and is still seeing active service.

I know that the parcels you send will be heartily appreciated by all the fellows who receive them, and I take this opportunity of sending thanks from all of us.
