Dear Mother

Thank you & Reggy awfully for your letters I didn't say how I enjoy them, and I am afraid I am a wicked William not to have written more home. I managed to get off most of this afternoon as I was on [???] & had with 6 other s to go to the provisions depot to fetch the battalion grub. We fared better this time then last as they gave us some breakfast before we started & provided a wagon to go there in and a motor lorry to fetch the provision back. I've sent in for a pass for moody & will go shortly via Bristol by walking 12 miles to driving which gives me a train a 4.30 which makes temple mews in an hour. I will see the [?] store & [?] got to a show & then beat it down to P.Z. by the 1 am, which gets me down to grandmothers at 7.30 I will spend the day there & then get to Plymouth to see unlce Park. It is cold as the devil here and raining most of the time although we have had a few dandy days. I feel a little [?] now but if I managed to get into a real solid house & a Bed for a few days I'll feel good, Do you know its getting on to 3 months since I slept in a bed & before that I was down at Guinnsly.

Princess Patts are to give a grand [?] (with find bed) in the Yomen tent to night & as it is past tentime I will beat it
Eric

The enclosed is some pretty by the "ships Part" of the [?] and the Booklet scotch aren't as he [?] them and they are worth while listening to he is going to have 16 of his poems printed in the book which I will send to you.

Eric
