Dear Folks:

Just a note as I haven't much time to write now, also to enclose a bunch of parcel cards that I've collected in the last couple days.

We've been doing a little moving and missed the mail for a few days - the rations were bawled up a little so maybe I wasn't hungry. The fist I got was at the end of a pretty stiff march. Not so very far but I was ahead finding the road and did quite a it of extra running around. We got to the billets about 2 A.M. and hungry as wolves. The mail came up right away and there were only four parcels for the section - three for me and one for Swimmy - my "side kick". We had the whole section doing anything we asked for awhile. I don't think I ever appreciated parcels more. The Strawberry & Rhubarb was great & Swimmy got some mince pies. The only thing lacking was cigarettes but we managed to get some the next day.

I expect to go up before the air-board in a few days and then I'll know how my luck is. Ive been trying for over a year now so even if I get turned down, I'll haveit off my chest anyway.

I've intended writing Marg & Flora and the rest of the people lately but we haven't been long enough in one place to get a note started. I'll make up for it in a week or two.

The fruit is coming along jake now. We've had a few apples already but they're pretty green yet.

I think this is all for now. I'll write again in a few days - the first chance I get.

Lots of Love

Bill

P.S. Send me some auto-strop razor blades will you? S'l vous plait.. WJM
