Dear Brother:- It seems like as if I am in a hurry writing a letter so soon again as I wrote one Sunday to Mother. Well I guess it won't come amiss as I may not be able to write again for a week or more We were issued with our web equipment to day everything we carry into the trenches except our rifles and bayonets we will get them when we get over. I had another thing to mention it is that Victor Hogarth is sending my $5 gold piece with Rufos Kestle's to Kestle's grandparents in Exeter his brother will get them so you can get mine from him they are both the same so it dont matter which you get That is if they ever get there. He is going to send them through the Post Office . I will not have a chance to do it myself as the wholl Draft is under C.B.(Confined to Base/Barracks) because they do not know what minute we will have to go so they want every body on hand all the time. I did not expect to have to go so soon for I was going to buy some Xmas presents and send home but did not have the chance I will try and send something from France when I get there It might come to late for Xmas but I guess that won't matter. I hardly know what address to send. But our Identification Disc say we belong to the 58 Canadians. So send it this address I think it will get me some time
