Two 93rd Men Granted Discharge

Pte. Roy Killingbeck, a former member of the 93rd battalion, has been granted his discharge. Pte. Killingbeck after going overseas was transferred to the machine gun section of the 52nd batt. and accompanied them to France. He was in action on the Somme front for a few days, before going to Vimy Ridge. On the latter front he was twice wounded. On the 24th Jan. 1917, he went over the top and received a bayonet thrust in his leg which was not, fortunately, serious, and on April 16th he was wounded by shrapnel and gassed. He was sent to the 2nd London General Hospital and Bromley Convalescent Home. He was two and a half months in France. He returned to Canada on Nov. 13th last. His home is in Norwood. Pte. W.J. Andrews, another local man, and a former member of the 93rd battalion, is also back to civilian life, having been granted his discharge on account of physical disability.

Pte. Wesley Andrews, son of Mr. W.B Andrews, who enlisted in the west and was invalided home some time ago, has also been granted his discharge
