Dear Betts, -
Thanks a million for the swell card sis – now I'd better answer your letter of April 15th or you'll think I've forgotten you.
I'd sure like to have been home for the fair – May 7, 8, 9 & 10. But there is a small matter of a war an that is sort of overuling my desire.
Who sold the advertising for the book this year – send me a copy please. And who is running the midway this year.
Say hello to all the gang for me – Al, Marg, Harvey, Gwen, Fred Davies – Torrance Loder – and the rest of the “Fair” Bunch. Tell Al I was to Charlie Forsyth's for supper last night and we talked about the fair.
Don't forget my photograph album – you & Doreen are fixing for me; because it is nice weather here & I have my camera out again – I'll have so many you won't be able to ever catch up – get crackin' kid! get crackin’.
Now don't say a word to anyone about this – not even Mom. I want you to find out the size of Doreen's finger – the second last one – on her left hand. Now don't let her know what it is for – or I'll give you a spanking. This is important Betty so don't muff it. Write and tell me as soon as possible – because her birthday is on the 24th of May & today is the 5th. Let me know before the Fair is over please.
Loads of Love sis.
Bill.
PS: - Kiss Doreen again for me!
