Dear Friend –:
your kind and sympathetic letter recieved. For which accept “many thanks”.
George’s death was quite a shock to me. I did not think he was really as sick as the Doctors said he was. The poor little fellow was such a soldier. never complained. He had so many dear friends and I hope in the future to make his friends mine also.
If I make the trip home I may go up through Seattle and if I do I earnestly hope to see you. I also hope if you ever come this way you will not forget me.
I have quite a few pictures that I took in Vancouver indeed I do not forget that little old place.
You can not imagine how lonely I am for George. Oh my it so hard to lose any one you love dearly. Death is a terrible cruel thing. Well I will now close hoping this letter finds you in the best of health. I wish to remain your friend
