Dearest Sis Greta
I have rec two letters from you last week But you must know I have not got very much time to write so can not ans every one, The only time I get to write is from 6 PM to 7 P.M. one hour a night. Lights out at seven now, we dont stope work untell 5. we then get supper & get washed it is 6 oclock, so only time I realy have to write is Saturday & sunday, and some times I go down town, so dont get a chance to write then, But have not been down to town for nearly a month now, so you can see how much I leave camp now. I stay in all the time, But dont mind it much, But Gee it is mud & wet around here now the mud is above our boat topes every where, and our tents leak, they are just like a screen, water just runs through them, it have been raining for nearly a whole week now with out a stope, it has been very H— But dont mind it I joined to be tough and am going to prove it, I have had a very bad cold, have had lagrip But am nearly all O.K. again now. although I can not speek above a wisper as yet. But will be all O. K. soon, We are stell working on Rifles, But will be moving this week I expect,
I would like to tell you a great deal. But must not for they will not let us now be carefull what you write to me, Will England is worse for rain then Vancr, it rains all the time here. I wish I was back there, give my love to Mother & all. I will try and write mother tomorrow, tell Birt to be a man and join army, or else get married will write again soon, with all my love, I will always remain your loving Brother
