Bramshott Camp 23/12/16
Mrs Greta McKay.
Vancouver B.C.
Dear Greta,-
I have to have your letter of the 26th [?] also a [?] parcel. for which I most kindly. thank you. I honestly did not expect one as I thought you. had forgotten me entirely I am glad to see you havent for perhaps some day we will meet again.
Once, while in London I called at Harolds home and he had then gone back to work after his illness it was about a week after he had buried his wife I saw his mother in law a very fine little English Lady I feel sorry for the Poor boy as I know what it is to loose one whom you care for.
Yes it must be fierce the way the women are acting in Vancouver but it is just the same in London women with children in their arms chasing the men and really the men seem worse than the women but however I suppose its nature so let them go those that care as you say I pass those things up. I met a nice little girl in London and when on leave there I spend most of my evenings with her however it is only for the time being and nothing will ever become of it.
We are having very miserable weather more snow & sleet every day.
Remember me to your Mother and rest of the family and perhaps some day will room with you once more.
Kindest regards and all good wishes for 1917
Remain as ever
Your sincere Friend
Harry
