Driver William Comrie, who is at the front with the English Reserves, writes to his father, James Comrie as follows:

France July 28th, 1915.

Dear Father:
I received your ever welcome letter and feel downright glad to think you all are looking forward to our safe return. I am sending a photo of my chums and myself" We had it taken one day when we were off duty" It is only a rough one, but it resembles us a bit.

We have had a lot of rain lately but it is settling down to grand old summer weather again. Tell the people I am getting on champion and turned into a proper Frenchman" I am going to drop Clarence a line now. So hoping you will excuse this short note and that It finds all of you in the best of health, I remain,
