I just received your splendid letters to Warrington and the photos, and I am very grateful to you all for your kind wished and for your care to.  The photos are fine and I wish I was there to see the kids myself, but enough the war will soon be over and then all will be joyful at the Joneses. 

Well I am getting on fine the wounds all healing up and I am feeling as fit as ever “worse luck” but enough I [?] will be alright on the Railroad and fairly safe not as bad as fighting in the 102nd anyway.  This is a fine camp here right on the sea shore near 1 Brighton and all kinds of so lathering and the sea breezes are splendid.  Imagine living on the sands at English Bay and a nice quiet town just like S London in summer.  Well how is S. Van getting along quiet and Mr. Mrs. Young.  I hope there are [?] well.  They have awful pens here in the Y.M.C.A.  Well this will have to be a short letter Mam back as I have to go on Church Parade but ta-ta now and with best love to Auntie Kate and the children and to you I remain
