Dear Father and Mother

I arrived safe in Victoria.  I was looking for you by the boat.  I thought you meant the front door when you pointed, the front of the boat was near the sidewalk and we could have talked quite easy.  One of the fellows told me you were at the gate and I was sorry. I do not know when we are pulling out but not for a week at least I hope my father got on all right
