My Dear Little Son Verne:-
How is my baby boy, not a baby now but a boy, eh? Well I would like to come and see about that, so I would. We would go up to Little Lake and see the water, see how wet it is, and cold, see if there are any lilies a blooming. We would go barefooted and paddle around in the water. We would have a good time, would we not? Mother might come too and we would have a picnic wouldn’t we. It would be jolly.
Is’nt it funny you and I have the same day for our birthday, only I am thirty-seven years older than you are I think! “Daddy” is very sleepy this evening. However, morning will soon come and he can go to bed.
You should see the little pony and car Mrs. Gen. Carey and Princess Alice came in. It is a very little pony. They come to wait on us in the canteen every other Sunday.
