Dear Winnie: –

Having nothing to do & a little while to do it, I thought I would drop you a line or two.

I am still working the old "Underwood".

I saw Cofley, who used to work in the office with me, a few days ago. He has been in the office ever since he enlisted. He left the post office about two years before he signed up.

One of the boys who used to work down stairs, in the M.O.Branch was killed some months ago, so Cofley told me. At the time he was killed he was waiting to be transferred into the Postal Corps.

The last letter I got from you was dated about the first week in February, I suppose lots of things have happened since then. Did you move as you intended doing?

Old Fritz has started to run for home – I hope he keeps on going.

The weather have been very changeable here during the past month or so. Yesterday was a nice sunny day and we all thought Spring had come for sure, but today it is just like an October day back home. It is cold & raining to beat the land.

Hoping to hear from you ere long.

Jack.

JA Corcoran

P.S. How are Annie & Min getting on? I suppose you and Budly & wife once in a while – if you do remember me to them.
