I wrote you a few days ago shortly after getting your letter. We had a move since then. The weathr has been lovely here for a long while back, with an occasional shower or two.
I saw Fred Watt yesterday. He is back with the Battalion & is looking fine. He told me you were up to see Mrs. Watt.
Jack Jenkins is buzzing around here – a Major in a Field Ambulance, the particular place he is at his super bomb-proof. I haven't met him yet.
Gregor MacDonald, who used to live near the Corner of Kings (or Queens) Road & Lonsdale, was killed some time ago. He was in the same platoon, etc. as I & was in the trenches quite a bit with me also.
For a long while he was sort of pessimistic on account of always thinking of home, I guess. They are not very many from there in the Bn. & If you ever get a chance to meet Mrs. MacDonald you might tell her I mentioned him.
Jack.
