Dear Mamie
I received your letter to-night and am down town with Erin to-night and as he is busy writing I thought I would scribble you a few lines. It has been pretty cold this last day or two but we get enough work to keep us warm. There is another mix up in the mail I will be glad when I get to some permanent place. I see Erin every night now and we have some good talks. Tell the kids that they must write too sometimes. Erin showed me a picture that he had got of you all tonight and do not think I would have known any of them they have grown so much. I have not heard from home lately but I suppose there is a letter or two some place on road for me. I suppose Rae is as lazy as ever about writing. Well Mammie I guess I will have to quit for to-night. So goodbye for this time from your Loving Brother John
