The 153rd Guelph Batt. came in at noon to-day, they are camping right alongside to the east of us. Hillcrest is on the north side of London

I have asked to get off for the time you are away. Capt. Hodgins says I will have to go without pay here but that is no object. A week seems to be the most I can have but that will help out quite a bit.

I would have written sooner but I thought I would have some thing definite to say. I will send word later about when I will be home.
