Letter
R.M.S. Metagama,
June 4th, 1915
Dearest Mother:
We were delayed and did not arrive until 8:30 a.m., embarking without a hitch. The very orderly chaos which is characteristic of a steamship dock is all about us and everything is rapidly being prepared for departure. The boat seems to be a very pleasant craft and quite new and clean. We have about 1500 or over on board, including the 49th of Edmonton.
I have not yet had time to read your letter, but will do so as soon as things settle down a little.
Goodbye, Nennie darling mother, for the present. I shall wire if possible when we arrive.
Yours with love,
Errol.
