Letter
March 1st 1915
Dear Mrs. Boggs.
Nothing that I could say would be able to temper or assuage your great loss- still I desire at this time of sadness to say to you- at one time a comrade in arms in Canada- when numbers of Canada’s sons fell valiantly for this Country- that sad though you are- proud should you be that a son of yours has died nobly- on the field in battle. not only for his country but for Justice and Right- a martyr as even the Christians of old
Yours Very Sincerely
Arnis Phillips
