To Mr. Beaumont Boggs
Dear Sir.
I am taking the liberty of writing to you and asking if you could give me any assistance to secure a position here so as to enable me to support my wife and self.
I joined up with the 88th and went across to France with the 1st Contingent, got wounded in the left shoulder at Ypres which has left me with a paralyzed arm so that I am unable to follow my trade as a carpenter and joiner.
For any help you could give me I should be much obliged
I remain Yrs Truly
