Dear Mother,

Received letter dated Aug. 20^th yesterday, also three packages all in good condition. Received a package from Mrs. Mott. I wish you would write and thank her for me. Will get all the packages you send. Many thanks for your troubles but [?] and kind friends.

I have lots of underclothes. Received two suits from Red Cross Soc.

I am real well and comfortable also underclothes, socks and handkerchiefs you sent.
