My Dearest Audrey:
Hello darlin here I am again to let you know that the letter you wrote on the 23rd Oct. has finally caught up with me. Believe me honey I was never so glad in all my life as to receive a letter from you; it sure made me feel a lot better, no fooling.
Glad to hear you received the post-cards duck, I mailed one whenever the train stopped long enough for me to get off and get one. I wasn’t sure whether I sent one from Montreal though, I was a bit under the weather at the time, but one of the boys said I did; so you see honey I didn’t forget you no matter where I’ve been and furthermore I haven’t the slightest intentions of doing so because I still have a certain date with you, providing of course you are still agreed with it, I am and always will be.
I know what it is like to go to a dance and have a rotten time, but golly honey don’t stop going to them just on my account, you will have to do something at nights, it won’t do you any harm and as long as I know you still love me a little well that’s all I ask, but for gosh sakes get out and try to enjoy yourself, gosh only knows when I’ll be back to take you dancing, providing I haven’t forgotten how to stumble around. You aren’t alone when you say you don’t get around much anymore.
So you still go ice skating eh? Take it easy though duck when I come back I want to see you all in one piece. There is an ice arena near where I’m stationed, so If I ever get up the nerve within the next nine weeks that Ill be here I might go and give it a whirl, I would sooner go roller-skating though, if there was a rink around here. I see by your letter Lew hasn’t changed a bit. Say hello to him and Muggie for me. I’ll bet Margie would shoot me for calling her that. I’d like to be there to find out. Tell her that will you?
Well darling I have to fall in for rounds now so will close hoping to hear from you real soon. Nearly forgot to ask; have you seen Bob yet. Did he give you those pictures? Let me know. Give my love to everyone for me, your mom and dad and all the gang. Write soon honey as I sure love to get letters from you. By for now.
