MISSING: Flt. Sgt. Lloyd Wesley Cuming, son of Mrs. G.E. Cuming, Whitewood, has been reported missing after air operations over enemy territory. He was born at Kipling, June 9, 1918, educated there and at Whitewood. Prior to August, 1941, when he enlisted in the R.C.A.F., he was on the Bank of Toronto staff. He first did clerical work, then remustered to air crew in March, 1942, graduating in London, Ont, in 1943, and going overseas in March of that year. He has one sister, Mrs. L.D. Dash, Kipling, and three brothers, Edwin M., St. John, N.B., Gordon in the R.C.A.F., and PO. Howard N. in England.
