Lachine, P. Q.

September 27, 1944

Dear Mom,

I've received a letter from Grandma Fenton, from Aunt Lola, and from Greta Lynk. I may not get a chance to answer them, so if I don't, please let them know that I received their letters and appreciated them. But I'm moving around so fast, I may not answer them, before leaving Canada.

I took some of those negatives, that you had sent to me, to a place called the Montreal Pharmacy, to get prints made, but now I'm afraid that I can't pick them up, so I've asked them to send the prints to you. Also, I'll be mailing a parcel home shortly.

I went to Longueil last night to visit my Corporal friend, Brigdon. He's the supervisor of a number of local schools. He was quite surprised to see me. We had a long talk about things in general.

Since I'm in a state of uncertainty, I don't know when I will be able to answer letters.

Love, Lewis.
