Dear Mother
I received 300 cigarettes from you to-day also the box of [Kit-Post?] chocolate of Dec 11 and thanks ever so much there will be more mail in to-morrow.
Well I am afraid this is going to be a very short note as I really have nothing to say I am in the best of health and feeling one hundred precent hope you are all the same at home
Hope you heard our broadcast a fellow had a cable from home say they had head him on Jan 1.
I hope you can read this letter as I am laying in me bed writing as some of the boys playing cards on the table. Say that chocolate is sure good the best thing about it is we don’t need sugar or milk is it new stuff a lot of the boys have got it in the last month and we have never seen it up till then it sure is good. we have some water heating on the stove now and are going to have a drink as soon as it boils.
Gosh Mother dear I don’t know what else to say I am really stuck there is so little to tell about so I will write again in a couple of days hope you are all well and please dont worry Send my love to all
Much love
Mac
