INFORMATION ON DISCHARGE
CONDUCT OF A DISCHARGED SOLDIER WHILE WEARING UNIFORM
1. Attention is again directed to Reg.38B of the Defence of Canada Regulation which provides that a discharged member of the Canadian Army (who is not discharged for misconduct or as the result of a sentence or conviction) may wear his service uniform:
(a) For 30 days immediately following discharge.
(b) At anytime after 30 days with written permission of the District Officer Commanding.
2. A discharged member, while wearing his uniform as authorized in 1(a) and (b) above, is governed by the same rules and regulations as when on active service and must observe all orders as to dress, saluting, discipline, deportment, etc., as before discharge and, if he misconducts himself while wearing his uniform after discharge, he:-
(a) Commits an offence and is liable to a fine of $300.00 or to imprisonment for six months, or to both.
(b) May be apprehended by the military or civil police.
(c) May be tried before a magistrate.
3. Each other rank, before discharge, shall sign a copy of the above notice on which he will acknowledge that he is read and fully understands the same and that he has personally received a duplicate, copy thereof.
4. CAMPAIGNE MEDALS
Campaigne medals will not be issued until after the war.

6. ADMISSION TO BARRACKS
After discharge you are not permitted to enter Exhibition Barracks unless granted permission to do so by an Officer of the Depot.
