Hello Ma & Pa,

I suppose you will think I have forgotten you completely by this time. However, it isn't as bad as all that. Another week has gone now there are only 2 more shopping days I suppose. It doesn't matter to me anyway cause I never got out until yesterday (Sat.). I went up to Bertha's for the afternoon and Nora & Clara [married to cousin ‘Wat' (Walter) Bell] from Kirkland were there on their way to Arthur. They are a pair of good heads, I would judge from their conversation. I am writing on the doggone bunk and it is rather shaky so you may have to get on two pairs of glasses.

I suppose the kids are home this week so you'll have company. I had company last nite too. I was sitting in a big soft chair listening to the hockey match in our "lounge" when in walks an airman by the call No. of R 70359 [brother Jim]. He had come over the weekend and wasn't locating me. Jim says the place is fixed up a lot since he left. The kitchen is sure swell & eats are good, beds comfortable and lots of entertainment. The only drawback is the standing for hours in line waiting.
