Dear Mother :-

I got here feeling fine and thats the address. I spent $1.00 for Mothersills sea sick remedy and I wish I had it back as I wasn't the least bit sick. We had a great trip over. Went aboard the Olympia on saturday afternoon and left Halifax Wednesday morning 9.30 met two days fog off Newfoundland and landed at Liverpool Thursday morning and left there at 5.30 p.m. for our present headquarters Bramshot Camp and got here 3 am & walked 3 miles to camp. (we are going to be shifted to Witley Camp tomorrow). At present we are at Bramshot about 50 miles from London. Witley is 8 miles from here. But the address on the front gets me anywhere. The mail leaves here for Canada just once a week and I didn't know until an hour ago. We are attached to the 11 Brigade of 4 batteries - 29th, 35th, 36th, 43rd I know a lot of fellows in 36th from Sydney. We expect a furlough in London within the next two week of 6 days.

That sure is some place. I'm feeling fine. We'll have to march to our new camp tomorrow. thats 8 miles away. Its an artillery training camp. Believe me this is some neat country. Every inch of the country is cultivated and as clean as a whistle and no wooden houses at all. All lights out at night, London is right dark at night and if you use a flash light in streets you go to jail.

Machine guns on every high building. I'll send a detailed letter next week. Well Mother I'll close for now hoping you and Papa Annie and Viola are as well as I am.

Better forward this to girls as I wont have time to write them until next week. We are in Hants county about 37 miles from London and believe me we have lots of company in the soldiers line there's quite a few of them here,
