Laying in St. Vincent Harbour. Argentine Republic Man of War came in during the night. Heard that Mafeking was relieved. Taking on coal from 4 barges. 2 or 3 steamers left Harbour. The Clyde from Old Country arrived 3:30 P.M. with immigrants and bound for South America. Weighed anchor at 4 P.M. and started South. Very strong breeze blowing. Passed another Light House. Native that died last night was buried at 6 P.M. Wrapped in a large sack and let over the side of the boat. Natives prayed to themselves. Boat slackened up while performance was going on. Saw several flying fish. Very small.
