Dear Lettie

I received three of your letters a week ago so I thought I would write you a line tonight but I have not received the box you sent but I am expecting it any day. Mr. Grant, Peter Ross and Bob McLeod and I are all together so we have all two boxes on the way so we will have a good feed some of these days. I think that I got all my mail. I got 11 letters and some papers one night. Alex sent 3 of my photos so I'm sending them up to Scotland. If I were you I would get so excited over that patriotic money if they don't do what is right let me know and I will see to it. We're in the trenches again and it is rather wet again. My ink is run dry and I can't get any. That oxo you sent is all right but anything that needs milk or sugar don't send. My watch is going fine ever since I left Canada. I will now close for this time. I will write to George next time. So good by.

With love from Dave
