Battalion 500 strong up at midnight and off on a five mile walk to dig trenches. They got back at 10:40 AM. I was sent up on reconnaissance of Tilloy, St. Catherines and Blunge trenches. Got a ride both ways so did not feel bad. Went for a walk in evening and on my return found Mr. Plumb in A Coy. Went for a walk with him and went to bed at 10.
