Jan. 11, 1915.

Wedhampton Cottage, Devizes.

Our mail has been coming in in sacks full. I got your letter with the Christmas dinner notes. They were simply fine. I can see you all sitting there and passing on the paper to the next one and some of them were really quite funny. I received your letter about Aunt Hattie, with the newspaper clippings and will let Elizabeth know if I need anyone which I don't think likely.

We are living like kings here with Mr. Wilson and I have bought a second hand motor cycle including my Christmas present to pay for it. I can ride it quite well now and am very careful to. It is certainly very handy and as there is a man in the battery who is an expert I get him to keep it in order and ride it on any long messages for me.

I went to Bulford to see about one of our men in hospital there today. It is about ten miles away and I had a fine ride. The horses are picking up wonderfully and look fine now. We have just been getting settled all week and getting the mud out of everything, and I expect we will start shooting soon.

Box 2 has arrived at Amesbury, am sending for it. Also Aunt Vi's Xmas present.
